Down below are a variety of courses that are taken by Business Academy members from the beginning of their Sophomore year up to their Senior year.
10th grade-BA Business Management & Leadership
This course explores leadership styles and economics, personal finance and soft skills, while providing a background in business. Students engage with their peers, business professional and their community to actively practice the 21st Century skills of Communication, Collaboration, Creativity, and Critical Thinking
11th grade-BA Empowering Entrepreneurers
This course id designed to empower entrepreneurial literacy among high school students through a project-based learning approach. Students will synthesize the aspects of entrepreneurship in teams. At the completion of students will successfully apply concepts regarding the human characteristics vital for entrepreneurial thinking in a 21st century global world. This class is articulated with Moreno Valley College (BUS10) Students must pass with a B or better to get credit.
11th grade-Integrated Marketing & English
Students analyze various primary and secondary source materials and literary works with critical eye, forming and defending opinions based on evidence. Students expand academic and technical vocabulary within the context of their reading, write with a clear voice demonstrating an understanding of audience, both academic and business.
12TH GRADE VIRTUAL BUSINESS
This class is a simulated business that is set up and run by the students to prepare them for working in a real business envirionnment as well as running their own business.
With the guidance of the classroom teacher and real-world business partners, the students determine the nature of their business.
Also, this class is articulated with Moreno Valley College (BUS30) Students must pass with a B or better to earn credit.
12TH GRADE COMMUNICATION AND LITERATURE FOR BUSINESS
Students will analyze and summarize reading from core, supplemental and recreational/motivational readings.
Students will relate concepts through writing/speaking and listening activities and will write cogent, clear and concise communications.
Students will also demonstrate good speaking skills and understand vocabulary.
